1) Make sure the lighting in the area is right. Not to bright or to dark. That way it doesn't make the video to bright or not have enough light.
2) Allow the person you are interviewing to have a seat, that way it relaxes the person that you are interviewing. This would help the person being interviewed to relax and it also helps the person not sway back and forth and staying where you want them.
3) When asking the questions and recording stand off to the side of the camera that way the person being interviewed isn't looking directly at the camera. That way it gives the effect of a person actually talking to someone else not talking to the camera.
4) Think of the story you want to make and base your questions off of that. That way when you ask the questions you know what you are asking and make it a strong interview.
5) Ask if there is anything that the person being interviewed would like to add after. This would give the person being interviewed an additional spot to say anything that they wanted to say but hadn't gotten a chance to already.
